As Spain is part of the Schengen Area, Indian passport holders require a Schengen visa for entry. This visa must be obtained before traveling. Once granted, a Schengen visa allows access to Spain and other Schengen countries. It's important to note that a transit visa is required, except for holders of a valid visa or residence permit issued by the US, UK, Japan, Canada, Ireland, Schengen Area, or Cyprus, or those holding a residence permit issued by Andorra, Monaco, or San Marino.
